Perform steps 1 through4 shown under Coil Replacement. Lift coiland magnet from movable arm. Removereturn spring from center of movablearm. Depress movable contact springand spring seat against movable contactand rotate these parts 1/2 turn withoutremoving them from window. Removethe stationary contacts. Install themovable arm in the device. Install thestationary contacts so that their silverpads face the movable contact silverpads. Reassemble the device. To changecontacts from normally closed tonormally open position, reverse theabove procedure.Check For Welded Contacts InOverload RelayWith power disconnected, disconnectthe control wiring from the relayterminals. Place a bell set or resistancemeasuring instrument across relayterminals. Depress and release resetarm to insure relay is reset.6. Remove screws holding stationarycontacts in place and remove stationarycontacts.7.
