Care and cleaning of the range,j SHOCK OR BURN HAZARD: Before replacing oven light bulb, disconnectA WARNING j theelectricalpowertotherangeatthemainfuseorcircuitbreakerpanel.Failure to do so may result in electric shock or burn.[A CAUTIONReceptacle SocketG6.35 BulbIGlass cover(on some models)BURN HAZARD: The glass cover and bulb should be removed when cool.Touching hot glass with bare hands or a damp cloth can cause burns.Oven Light Replacement (on some models)To remove:r_ Turn the glass cover counterclockwise 1/4turn until the tabs of the glass cover clearthe grooves of the socket.Wearing latexgloves may offer a better grip.[] Using gloves or a dry cloth, remove thebulb by pulling it straight out.To replace:[-_ Use a new 120/130-volt halogen bulb, notto exceed 50 watts. Replace the bulb withthe same type of bulb that was removed.Your model will have one of the two typesshown on the left. To determine thecorrect replacement bulb, check the bulbterminals. Bulbswith 2 straight pinterminals are G6.35bulbs. Bulbs with 2looped terminals are G9 bulbs. (Donotinterchange.) Be sure the replacementbulb is rated 120 volts or 130 volts (NOT12volts).Using gloves or a dry cloth, remove thebulb from its packaging. Do not touch thebulb with bare fingers. Oil from skin willdamage the bulb and shorten its life.r_ Pushthe bulb straight into the receptacleall the way.gloves orclothPlacethe tabs of the glass cover into thegrooves of the socket.Turn the glass coverclockwise 1/4 turn.For improved lighting insidethe oven,clean the glass cover frequently using awet cloth. Lift off the cover.To replace the cover:r_ Place it into groove of the light receptacle.Pull wire forward to the center of thecover until it snaps into place,r_ Connect electrical power to the range.Do not remove any screws to remove the cover.Replacebulb with a 40-watt appliancebulb.26
