32The oven door must be closed and all controls set correctly for the cycle to work properly.After a Clean CycleYou may notice some white ashin the oven. Wipe it up with a dampcloth after the oven cools.If white spots remain, remove themwith a soap-filled scouring pad and rinsethoroughly with a vinegar and water mixture.These deposits are usually a salt residuethat cannot be removed by the clean cycle.If the oven is not clean after one clean cycle,repeat the cycle.n You cannot set the oven for cooking untilthe oven is cool enough for the door tounlock.n While the oven is self-cleaning, you cantouch the CLOCK pad to display the time ofday. To return to the clean countdown,touch the COOK TIME pad.n If the racks become hard to slide, applya small amount of vegetable oil or cookingoil to a paper towel and wipe the edgesof the oven racks with the paper towel.Using the self-cleaning upper oven.How to Delay the Start of CleaningMake sure the clock shows the correct timeof day.Touch the RANGE LOCKOUT padand then the START pad to turn it off.See the Range Lockout section.NOTE: The surface units must be turnedoff prior to the self-clean start time.Touch the SELF CLEAN pad.Using the number pads, enterthe desired clean time.Touch the START TIME pad.The earliest start time you canset will appear in the display.Using the number pads, enter the timeof day you want the clean cycleto start.Touch the START pad.The door locks automatically. The displaywill show the start time.
