HYDROGEN GAS IS EXPLOSIVE.If the hot water has not been used for two weeks or more, prevent the possibility of damage orinjury by turning on all hot water faucets and allow them to run for several minutes. Do this beforeusing any electrical appliance which is connected to the hot water system. This simple procedurewill allow any built-up hydrogen gas to escape. Since the gas is flammable, do not smoke or use anopen flame or appliance during this process.WATER HEATER SAFETYUse this appliance only for its intended purpose as described in this Owner’s Manual.PROPER INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCEThis dishwasher must be properly installed and located in accordance with the InstallationInstructions before it is used. Connect to a grounded metal, permanent wiringsystem; or run an equipment-groundingconductor with the circuit conductors andconnect to the equipment-grounding terminal orlead of the appliance. Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk ofelectric shock. Check with a qualified electricianor service representative if you are in doubtwhether the appliance is properly grounded. Use supply conductors rated at least 75°C(167°F). Dispose of discarded appliances and shippingor packing material properly. Do not attempt to repair or replace any partof your dishwasher unless it is specificallyrecommended in this manual. All other servicingshould be referred to a qualified technician. To minimize the possibility of electric shock,disconnect this appliance from the powersupply before attempting any maintenance.NOTE: Turning the dishwasher off does notdisconnect the appliance from the power supply.We recommend having a qualified technicianservice your appliance.
