Features and appearance of racks and silverwarebaskets may vary from your model.Upper RackThe upper rack is primarily for glasses, cups, andsaucers. For best wash performance, tilt cup and glassopenings toward the center of the rack. Other items suchas pots, pans, and plates may be placed in the upperrack. This is also a secure place for dishwasher-safeplastic items. The upper rack can be used for odd sizedutensils. Sauce pans, mixing bowls, and other similarlyshaped items should be placed face down for best washperformance. Ensure small plastic items are secure sothat they cannot fall on the heater at the bottom of thedishwasher, potentially damaging the item.IMPORTANT: Ensure items in the upper rack do notinterfere with the 3rd Rack (on some models) whenloading and unloading.IMPORTANT: Ensure that items do not protrude throughthe bottom of the rack or silverware basket where theywill block the rotation of the middle spray arm. Thiscould result in noise during operation and/or poor washperformance.A loaded upper rack may beheavier than anticipated. To preventminor injury or damage to the contents, do not raiseor lower the upper rack after the rack is loaded.CAUTIONTo add flexibility in loading, the stem safe shelf (on somemodels) may be placed in the up or down position orunfolded and placed in the lower unfolded position. The shelf may also be used to secure stemware such aswine glasses. Because these stemware items come invarious sizes, slowly push the rack in to ensure the itemsdo not bump into the edges of the dishwasher, whichmay cause damage to the items.Place theslots in theutility shelfclips overthe verticalrack wiresand pushdown to attachutility shelfonto secondwire of rackRailEndHookRack RollersRailRailEndHookPull rack out, lift up and overrail end hooks, and pull out toremoveUpperRack
