Mobile Home or Manufactured Home Installation– Stacking of a gas dryer is not permitted in amobile home or manufactured home.MINIMUM CLEARANCE OTHER THAN ALCOVE OR CLOSETINSTALLATIONMinimum clearance to combustible surfaces andfor air opening are: 0 both sides, 1 front, and3 rear. Consideration must be given to provideadequate clearance for installation and service.ALCOVE OR CLOSET INSTALLATION If your dryer is approved for installation in analcove or closet, it will be stated on a label onthe dryer back. Minimum clearance between dryer cabinet andadjacent walls or other surfaces is:0 either side3 front4 rear Minimum vertical space from floor to overheadcabinets, ceiling, etc. is 43 without pedestal,55 with pedestal and 84 stacked. Closet doors must be louvered or otherwiseventilated and must contain a minimum of60 square inches of open area equallydistributed. If the closet contains both awasher and a dryer, doors must contain aminimum of 120 square inches of open areaequally distributed.
