About the unicouple (portable models only)./Before Operating the Dishwasher the First TimeAttach the faucet adapter. The special faucetadapter supplied with your dishwasher mustbe assembled to the sink faucet before you canuse your dishwasher.The faucet adapter is designed to fit standardspouts having internal or external threads. Youwill find the adapter and two washers in thefaucet adapter packet in your dishwasher.To install faucet adapter, first remove the oldaerator or trim ring on your faucet spout.If faucet has external threads: Insert thethinner of the two washers into the faucetadapter and attach it to the faucet spout.Tighten with pliers.If faucet has internal threads: Insert bothof the washersinto the faucet adapterandattach it to the faucet spout.Tighten with pliers.If the faucet adapter threads do not matchyour faucet spout, your local hardwareor plumbing supply store normally hasadditional fittings to adapt your faucet spoutto the special faucet adapter.NOTE:A sink spray attachment hose canburst if it is installed on the same sink withyour dishwasher. We suggest that youdisconnect the sink spray attachment if yoursink has one and plug the hole.How to Connect the Unicouple[Z] Run the hot water faucet to purge coldwater from the hot water line. The hotwater must be between 120°F and 150°Ffor best wash performance.[] Pull Unicouple and its hoses completely outfrom storage compartment located at rearof dishwasher.[-_ Attach the Unicouple connector to thefaucet adapter by depressing the collar atthe top of the connector. When Unicoupleis all the way up onto the adapter, releasethe collar. Itwill then snap into position tolock the Unicouple in place.%%The Unicouple's small hose carries waterfrom the faucet to the dishwasher. Its largehose curries drain water to the sink. Besure Unicouple is pointing toward the sinkbowl drain opening and the sink drain isopen for water that will drain from yourdishwasher.If your dishwasher drains into u disposer,operate the disposer until it is completelyempty before starting the dishwasher.Turn hot water fully on before starting thedishwasher.Plug the dishwasher power cord into theoutlet.Pressure releosebuttonHow to Disconnect the DishwasherE_ Unplug the dishwasher.Push the cord buck into its storage locution.[_ Turn off the hot water.[] Releasethe water pressure by depressingthe pressure releasebutton.Releasethe Unicouple from the faucet% by depressing the collar at the top of theUnicouple connector.I-_ Drain excess water from the unicouplehoses (see below).
