17Installation InstructionsREVERSING THE DOORABOUT REVERSING THE DOORIMPORTANT NOTES:• Read the instructions all the way throughbefore starting.• Handle parts carefully to avoid scratchingpaint.• Set screws down by their related parts to avoidusing them in the wrong places.• Provide a non-scratch work surface for thedoor.• Normal completion time to reverse the doorswing is 30–60 minutes.IMPORTANT:Once you begin, do not move the cabinetuntil door swing reversal is completed. Theseinstructions are for changing the hinges fromthe right side to the left side - if you ever want toswitch them back to the right side, follow thesesame instructions and reverse all references to theleft and right.Tools needed: Quadrex #1 bit screwdriver otherwise standard #2Phillips screwdriver Tape-tipped putty knife Small flat blade screwdriverBefore you startUnplug the dryer from itselectrical outletChoose the REVERSING THE DOORinstructions A or B for your model.A REVERSING THE DOOR - SOLID DOORMODELS1 Open the door approximately 130 degrees. With aputty knife, remove the 4 plastic caps locatedalong the left side of the front panel and set themaside.2 Remove the bottom screw from each hinge (rightside) and partially insert them into each top hingehole on the left side.NOTE: All 4 front panel hinge screws will now bein the top hinge holes - 2 on the left and 2 on theright.3 Loosen each top hinge screw on right side.Remove the door and place it on a protectiveflat surface to avoid any damage.4 Remove both the blind plate and the striker plate/metal striker and install them in opposite positions.A REVERSING THE DOOR - SOLIDDOOR MODELS (cont.)Plastic Cap (4)Left side offront panelBlindplateStrikerplate/MetalstrikerLoosen eachtop hinge screwon right side
