Installation Instructions[] MOBILE OR MANUFACTURED HOMEINSTALLATION• Installation must conform to the MANUFACTUREDHOMECONSTRUCTION& SAFETYSTANDARD,TITLE24, PART:32-80or, when such standard is not applicable, with AMERICANNATIONAL STANDARDFOR MOBILE HOME,ANSI/NFPA NO.50lB.• The dryer MUST be vented to the outdoors with thetermination securely fastened to the mobile homestructure. (See EXHAUSTINFORMATIONsection 6).• The vent MUST NOT be terminated beneath a mobile ormanufactured home.• The vent duct material MUST BE METAL.• KIT 14-D346-33 MUSTbe used to attach the dryer securelyto the structure.• The vent MUST NOT be connected to any other duct, vent,or chimney.• Do not use sheet metal screws or other fastening deviceswhich extend into the interior of the exhaust vent.• Provide an opening with a free area of at least 25 sq. in. forintroduction of outside air into the dryer room.• Stacking of a gas dryer is not permitted in a mobile homeor manufactured home.I_l GARAGE INSTALLATION (IF ALLOWEDBY LOCAL CODES)• Dryers installed in garages must be elevated 18 inches(46cm) above the floor.[] DRYER EXHAUST TO BOTTOM CABINET-ZiWARNING-BEFOREPERFORMINGTHIS EXHAUST INSTALLATION, BE SURETO DISCONNECT THE DRYER FROM ITSELECTRICAL SUPPLY. PROTECT YOURHANDS AND ARMS FROM SHARP EDGESWHEN WORKING INSIDE THE CABINET.BE SURE TO WEAR GLOVES.REMOVESCREWAND SAVE,(:_'\REMOVEBOTFOMKNOCKOUTDetach and remove the bottom knockout. Remove thescrew inside the dryer exhaust duct and save. Pull the ductout of the dryer. Protect sharp edges around the knockoutand exhaust opening with the tape.FIXINGHOLEs14 "Cut the duct as shown and keep portion A.TAB LOCATIONBENDTABUP45°Through the rear opening, locate the tab in the middle ofthe appliance base. Lift the tab to about 450 using a flatblade screwdriver.ADDING NEW DUCTFIXINGHOLE PORTION"A"BOTTOMEXHAUSTReconnect the cut portion (A)of the duct to the blowerhousing. Make sure that the fixing hole is aligned with thetab in the base. Use the screw saved previously to securethe duct in place through the tab on the appliance base.ADDING ELBOW FOR EXHAUSTTHROUGH BOTTOM OF CABINET• Insert 4" elbow through the bottom opening, orient it forbottom exhaust and connect it to the dryer internal duct.CAUTIO N:Internalductjointsmustbesecuredwithtape,otherwisetheymay separateandcause a safety hazard.DUCT• Apply duct tape on the joint between the dryer internalduct and elbow.
