In the event ofan electrical short circuit, grounding reduces therisk of electric shock by providing an escape wirefor the electric current.This appliance is equipped with a power cordhaving a grounding wire with a grounding plug.The plug must be plugged into an outlet that isproperly installed and grounded.Consult a qualified electrician or service technicianif the grounding instructions are not completelyunderstood, or if doubt exists as to whether theappliance is properly grounded.If the outlet is a standard 2-prong wall outlet,it is your personal responsibility and obligationto have it replaced with a properly grounded3-prong wall outlet.Do not under any circumstances cut or removethe third (ground) prong from the power cord.We do not recommend using an extension cordwith this appliance. Use the tray as a cooking pan whengrilling or as a drip pan for the rotisserie food. Do not use the glass turntable when grilling orusing the rotisserie. Do not cover the black metal tray with metal foil.This will cause arcing in the oven. Any non-metal, oven-safe dish can be used whengrilling or when using the rotisserie in the oven. Place food, oven-safe cookware or the brownerrack directly on the black metal tray when grilling. The oven and door will get hot when grilling orusing the rotisserie. Cookware will become hot when grilling or usingthe rotisserie. Pot holders or oven mitts will beneeded to handle the cookware. Do not use paper towels or coverings, containersor cooking/roasting bags made of foil or otherreflective material, plastic, wax or paper whengrilling or using the rotisserie. Do not place food directly against the top orbottom heating elements. Use of the browner rack:— Place the dish directly on the rack.— Remove the rack from the oven when not in use.— Use pot holders or oven mitts when handlingthe rack. It may be hot.— Be sure that the rack is positioned properlyinside the oven to prevent product damage.— Do not cover the rack or any part of the ovenwith metal foil. This will cause overheating ofthe oven. During and after use, do not touch, or letclothing, pot holders or other flammablematerials contact the top heating element orguard. These surfaces may be hot enoughto burn even though they are dark in color.Allow sufficient time for cooling first. Remove cookware completely from the ovenbefore turning food.NOTE: A rotisserie safety feature prevents the useof other cooking functions while the rotisserie spit rodis in place.
