Remember, your new oven may performdifferently than the oven it is replacing.BakeThe bake mode is for baking and roasting. Thismode uses heat only from the lower burner. Whenpreparing baked goods such as cakes, cookies, andpastries always preheat the oven first. Follow reciperecommendations for food placement. If no guidelines areprovided center food in the oven. To use this mode pressthe Bake pad, enter a temperature, and then press Start.Broiling ModesAlways broil with the main oven and broil drawer doorsclosed. Monitor food closely while broiling. Use cautionwhen broiling on upper rack positions as placing foodcloser to the broil burner increases smoking, spattering, and the possibility of fats igniting.Try broiling foods that you would normally grill. Adjustrack positions to adjust the intensity of the heat to thefood. Place foods closer to the broil burner when aseared surface and rare interior is desired. Thicker foodsand foods that need to be cooked through should bebroiled on a rack position farther from the burner or byusing Broil Lo.Broil HiThe Broil Hi mode uses intense heat from the upperburner to sear foods. Use Broil Hi for thinner cuts ofmeat and/or foods you prefer less done on the interior. To use this mode press the Broil pad once and thenpress Start. It is not necessary to preheat when usingthis mode.Broil LoThe Broil Lo mode uses less intense heat from the upperburner to cook food thoroughly while also browning thesurface. Use Broil Lo for thicker cuts of meat and/orfoods that you would like cooked all the way through. Touse this mode press the Broil pad twice and then pressStart. It is not necessary to preheat when using thismode.Convection Bake Multi RackThe Convection Bake Multi Rack mode is intendedfor baking on multiple racks at the same time. Thismode uses heat from the upper burners along withair movement from the convection fan to enhancecooking evenness. Your oven is equipped with AutoRecipe Conversion, so it is not necessary to convert thetemperature when using this mode. To use this modepress the Bake Multi Rack pad under Convection, enter a temperature, and then press Start. Alwayspreheat when using this mode.CookwareCookware GuidelinesThe material, finish, and size of cookware affect bakingperformance.Dark, coated and dull pans absorb heat more readilythan light, shiny pans. Pans that absorb heat morereadily can result in a browner, crisper, and thicker crust. If using dark and coated cookware check food earlierthan minimum cook time. If undesirable results areobtained with this type of cookware consider reducingoven temperature by 25º F next time.Shiny pans can produce more evenly cooked bakedgoods such as cakes and cookies.Glass and ceramic pans heat slowly but retain heat well. These types of pans work well for dishes such as piesand custards.Air insulated pans heat slowly and can reduce bottombrowning.Keep cookware clean to promote even heating.Cooking ModesUSING THE OVEN: Cooking Modes / CookwareAluminum FoilDo not use aluminum foil to line oven bottoms. The foil will trap heat below and upset the performance of theoven. Foil can melt and permanently damage the oven bottom. Damage from improper use of aluminum foil is notcovered by the product warranty.Foil may be used to catch spills by placing a sheet on a lower rack, several inches below the food. Do not use morefoil than necessary and never entirely cover an oven rack with aluminum foil. Keep foil at least 1-1/2” from oven wallsto prevent poor heat circulation.
