18Safety InstructionsOperating InstructionsCare and CleaningTroubleshooting TipsConsumer SupportTo assure no damage is done to the finishof the product, the safest way to removethe adhesive left from packaging tape onnew appliances is an application of ahousehold liquid dishwashing detergent,mineral oil or cooking oil.Apply with a soft cloth and allow to soak.Wipe dry and then apply an appliancepolish to thoroughly clean and protectthe surface.NOTE: The plastic tape must be removed fromall chrome trim. It cannot be removed if it isbaked on.Care and cleaning of the oven.Be sure electrical power is off and all surfaces are cool before cleaning any part of the oven.How to Remove Packaging TapeThe door is very heavy. Be careful whenremoving and lifting the door.Do not lift the door by the handle.To remove the door:Fully open the door.Pull the hinge locks down towardthe door frame, to the unlockedposition. A tool, such as a smallflat-blade screwdriver, may berequired.Firmly grasp both sides of the doorat the top.Close door to the door removalposition, which is halfway betweenthe broil stop position and fullyclosed.Lift door up and out until the hingearm is clear of the slot.To replace the door:Firmly grasp both sides of the doorat the top.With thedoor at thesame angle asthe removalposition, seat theindentation ofthe hinge arminto the bottomedge of the hingeslot. The notch in the hinge armmust be fully seated into the bottomof the slot.Fully open the door. When replacing the knob,check the OFF position to insure properplacement.Wash the knob in soap and water or avinegar and hot water solution but donot soak.The knob stem is D shaped. Install theflat of the shaft to the flat of the knob.Control PanelIt’s a good idea to wipe the controlpanel after each use. Clean with mildsoap and water or vinegar and water,rinse with clean water and polish drywith a soft cloth.Do not use abrasive cleansers, strongliquid cleansers, plastic scouring pads oroven cleaners on the control panel—theywill damage the finish.
