They coulddehydrate and catch fire, causing damageto your oven.n Do not operate the oven while empty toavoid damage to the oven and the dangerof fire. If by accident the oven should runempty a minute or two, no harm is done.However, try to avoid operating the ovenempty at any time—it saves energy andprolongs the life of the oven.n Do not use the oven for storage purposes.Do not leave paper products, cookingutensils or food in the oven when notin use.n If materials inside the oven should ignite,keep oven door closed, turn oven off,and shut off power at the fuse or circuitbreaker panel. If the door is opened, thefire may spread.n This microwave oven is not approved ortested for marine use.n Some products such as whole eggs andsealed containers—for example, closedjars—will explode and should not beheated in this microwave oven. Such use ofthe microwave oven could result in injury.n Do not operate the microwave ovenwithout the turntable and support in place.n Avoid heating baby food in glass jars, evenwith the lid off. Make sure all infant food isthoroughly cooked. Stir food to distributethe heat evenly. Be careful to preventscalding when warming formula or breastmilk. The container may feel cooler thanthe milk really is. Always test the milkbefore feeding the baby.n Do not boil eggs in a microwave oven.Pressure will build up inside the eggyolk and will cause it to burst, possiblyresulting in injury.n Foods with unbroken outer “skin” suchas potatoes, sausages, tomatoes, apples,chicken livers and other giblets, and eggyolks should be pierced to allow steam toescape during cooking.n Don’t defrost frozen beverages innarrow-necked bottles (especiallycarbonated beverages). Even if thecontainer is opened, pressure can buildup. This can cause the container to burst,possibly resulting in injury.n Hot foods and steam can cause burns.Be careful when opening any containersof hot food, including popcorn bags,cooking pouches and boxes.
