28Operating Instructions Safety InstructionsCustomer Service Troubleshooting TipsAbout the exhaust feature.Vent FanThe vent fan has two metal reusablevent filters.Models that recirculate air back into theroom also use a charcoal filter.Reusable Vent FiltersThe metal filters trap grease released byfoods on the cooktop. They also preventflames from foods on the cooktop fromdamaging the inside of the oven.For this reason, the filters must always bein place when the hood is used. The ventfilters should be cleaned once a month,or as needed.Removing and Cleaning the FiltersTo remove, slide them to the rear using thetabs. Pull down and out.To clean the vent filters, soak them andthen swish around in hot water anddetergent. Don’t use ammonia or ammoniaproducts because they will darken themetal. Light brushing can be used toremove embedded dirt.Rinse, shake and let dry before replacing.To replace, slide the filters into the frameslots on the back of each opening. Press upand to the front to lock into place.Reusable vent filters(on all models).Charcoal filter (on some models).
