About the exhaust feature.Charcoalfilter (on somemodels). VentThe vent has a reusable metal vent filter.Models that recirculate air back into the roomalso use a charcoal filter.Reusablevent filters(on all models).Reusable Vent FilterThe metal filter traps grease released byfoods on the cooktop. It olso prevents flamesfrom foods on the cooktop from damagingthe inside of the oven.Forthis reason, the filter must always bein place when the hood is used. The ventfilter should be cleaned once a month,or as needed.Removing and Cleaning the FilterTo remove, slide the filter to the rear usingthe tabs. Pull down and out.To clean the vent filter, soak and then swishit around in hot water and detergent. Don'tuse ammonia or ammonia products becausethey will darken the metal. Brush lightlgto remove embedded dirt.Rinse,shake and let dry before replacing.To replace, slidethe filter into the frameslot to the back of the opening. Pressupand to the front to lock into place.28 |
