6HOW TO CONNECT ELECTRICITYDo not, under any circumstances, cut orremove the third (ground) prong from thepower cord. For personal safety, thisappliance must be properly grounded.The power cord of this appliance is equippedwith a 3-prong (grounding) plug which mateswith a standard 3-prong (grounding) walloutlet to minimize the possibility of electricshock hazard from this appliance.Have the wall outlet and circuit checkedby a qualified electrician to make surethe outlet is properly grounded.Where a standard 2-prong wall outletis encountered, it is your personalresponsibility and obligation to haveit replaced with a properly grounded3-prong wall outlet.Use of a GFI (Ground Fault Interrupter)is not recommended for the barrefrigerator with icemaker.The appliance should always be pluggedinto its own individual electrical outletwhich has a voltage rating that matchesthe rating plate. This provides the bestperformance and also prevents overloadinghouse wiring circuits which could cause afire hazard from overheated wires.DO NOT USE ANADAPTER PLUGTO CONNECT THE BARREFRIGERATOR WITHICEMAKER TO A 2-PRONGOUTLET.DO NOT USE ANEXTENSION CORD WITHTHIS APPLIANCE.Never unplug an appliance by pulling onthe power cord. Always grip the plug firmlyand pull straight out from the outlet.Repair or replace immediately all powercords that have become frayed or otherwisedamaged.
