Installation InstructionsINSTALLATION—GAS CONNECTIONS[4] PROVIDE ADEQUATEGAS SUPPLYThis cooktop is designed to operate on naturalgas at 5” of water column manifold pressure and7" of water column (W.C.) supply pressure. It isshipped from the factory set for natural gas. Theconvertible pressure regulator supplied with theunit must be connected in series with the manifoldof the cooktop and must remain in series with thesupply line regardless of whether natural or L.P.gas is being used. FOR PROPER OPERATION, THEMAXIMUM INLET PRESSURE TO THE REGULATORMUST BE NO MORE THAN 14” OF WATER COLUMNPRESSURE. For checking the regulator, the inletpressure must be at least 1” W.C.. {or 3.4 KPA)greater than the regulator output setting. Ifthe regulator is set for 5" W.C. of water columnpressure, the inlet pressure must be at least 6” W.C.if the regulator is set for 10” W.C., the inlet pressuremust be at least 11” W.C.. The gas supply line tothe cooktop should be 1/2” or 3/4” pipe.[3] INSTALL REGULATOR ONTOBURNER BOX BOTTOMScrew the regulator ]onto the burner —box bottom pipeconnection. Makesure the top ofthe regulator is PressureRegulatorfacing towards the acabinet front, easily NCouring———- BHaccessible through Shut-Off \ ElectricalOutlet 12”BelowCountertopthe cabinet doors.The regulator mayalso be installedprior to insertingthe cooktop into the cutout if extreme caution isused to ensure the regulator connection is notcompromised.[2] INSTALL REGULATORNEVER REUSE OLD CONNECTORS WHENINSTALLING THIS COOKTOP.AWARN ING: Never reuse old flexibleconnectors. The use of old flexible connectorscan cause gas leaks and personal injury. Alwaysuse new flexible connectors when installing a gasappliance.. ; Pressure >|Screw a section of pipe onto Regulator 4the inlet end of the pressureregulator and install thecoupling. Coupling ——pe &To reduce the likelihood of gas leaks, apply teflontape or a thread compound approved for use withLP or Natural gases to all threaded connections.[4] COMPLETE CONNECTION WITH ACOUPLINGComplete theconnection betweenthe regulator pipecoupling andthe shut-off valve.
