Installation InstructionsINSTALLING THE COOKTOP[] ELECTRICAL REQUIREHENTS120-volt, 60-Hertz, properly grounded branch circuitprotected by a 15-amp or 20-amp circuit breaker ortime-delay fuse.EXTENSION CORD CAUTIONSBecause of potential safety hazards associated with certainconditions, we strongly recommend against the use of anextension cord. The larger slot inthe adapter must be aligned with the largerslot in the wallreceptacle to provide proper polarity in the connection of thepower cord.Temporary Method(AdapterplugsnotpermittedinCanada)Align large prongs/slotsEnsure proper groundand firm connectionbefore useCAUTION:Attachingthe adaptergroundterminalto the wall receptaclecoverscrewdoesnotgroundthe applianceunlessthe coverscrewismetal,notinsulated,and thewall receptacleisgroundedthroughthe housewiring.Thecustomershouldhavethe circuitcheckedby a qualifiedelectricianto makesurethereceptacleisproperlygrounded.When disconnecting the power cord from the adapter,always hold the adapter with one hand.
