Before you call for service....Troubleshooting TipsSave time and money! Review the charts on the following pages first and you may notneed to call for service.Problem Possible Cause What To DoOven will not start A fuse in your home may beblown or the circuit breakertripped.• Replace fuse or reset circuit breaker.Power surge. • Unplug the microwave oven, then plug it back in.Plug not fully inserted intowall outlet• Make sure the 3-prong plug on the oven is fullyinserted into wall outlet.Door not securely closed. • Open the door and close securely.Control panellighted, yet ovenwill not startDoor not securely closed. • Open the door and close securely.START/PAUSE button notpressed after entering cookingselection.• Press START/PAUSE.Another selection enteredalready in oven and CANCEL/OFF button not pressed tocancel it.• Press CANCEL/OFF.Cooking time not enteredafter pressing COOK TIME• Make sure you have entered cooking time afterpressing COOK TIME.CANCEL/OFF was pressedaccidentally.• Reset cooking program and press START/PAUSE.CONTROL LOCKEDappears ondisplayThe control has been locked. • Press and hold CANCEL/OFF for about 3 secondsto unlock the control.Floor of the ovenis warm evenwhen the oven hasnot been usedThe cooktop light is locatedbelow the oven floor. Whenlight is on, the heat itproduces may make the ovenfloor get warm.• This is normal.You hear anunusual low-tonebeepYou have tried to change thepower level when it is notallowed• Many of the oven’s features are preset and can-not be changed.Vent fan comes onautomaticallyThe vent fan automaticallyturns on to protect themicrowave if it senses toomuch heat rising from thecooktop below.• This is normal.Bluetoothconnection notpairedPower interruption maydisrupt bluetooth connection• Try to reconnect by initiating the CHEF CONNECTprocess on the gE Range, then holding the CHEFCOnnECT button for 3 seconds on themicrowave. This will restart the pairing process.if this does not work, unplug unit or reset thecircuit breaker to reset the control.32
