Ifcabinet storage space is to be provided, the risk canbe reduced by installing a range hood that projectshorizontally a minimum of 5" beyond the bottom ofthe cabinets. Cabinet installation above the counterunit may be no deeper than 13".• The cooktop should be easy to reach and lightedwith natural light during the day.• Always disconnect the electrical service to the unitbefore repairing or servicing the counter unit. Thiscan be done by disconnecting the fuse or circuitbreaker. Failure to do this could result in adangerous or fatal shock. Know where your maindisconnect switch is located.
