Remember, your new oven may performdifferently than the oven it is replacing.BakeThe bake mode is for baking and roasting. This modeuses heat primarily from the lower element but also fromthe upper element to cook food. When preparing bakedgoods such as cakes, cookies, and pastries alwayspreheat the oven first. Follow recipe recommendationsfor food placement. If no guidelines are provided centerfood in the oven. To use this mode press the Bake pad, enter a temperature, and then press Start.Warm/Warming Drawer (on some models)Warm mode is designed to keep hot foods hot for up to3 hours. To use this mode, press the Warm or WarmingDrawer pad then press Start. Cover foods that needto remain moist and do not cover foods that should becrisp. Preheating is not required. Do not use warm toheat cold food other than crisping crackers, chips or drycereal. It is also recommended that food not be keptwarm for more than 2 hours.Broiling ModesAlways broil with the door closed. Monitor food closelywhile broiling. Use caution when broiling on upper rackpositions as placing food closer to the broil burnerincreases smoking, spattering, and the possibilityof fats igniting. Broiling on rack position 5 is notrecommended.Try broiling foods that you would normally grill. Adjustrack positions to adjust the intensity of the heat to thefood. Place foods closer to the broil burner when aseared surface and rare interior is desired. Thicker foodsand foods that need to be cooked through should bebroiled on a rack position farther from the burner or byusing Broil Lo.Broil HiThe Broil Hi mode uses intense heat from the upperelement to sear foods. Use Broil Hi for thinner cuts ofmeat and/ or foods you prefer less done on the interior. To use this mode press the Broil pad once and thenpress Start. It is not necessary to preheat when usingthis mode.Broil LoThe Broil Lo mode uses less intense heat from the upperelement to cook food thoroughly while also browningthe surface. Use Broil Lo for thicker cuts of meat and/or foods that you would like cooked all the way through. To use this mode press the Broil pad twice and thenpress Start. It is not necessary to preheat when usingthis mode.Convection Bake Multi RackThe Convection Bake Multi Rack mode is intended forbaking on multiple racks at the same time. This modemay use heat from the upper and lower elements, alongwith air movement from the convection fan to enhancecooking evenness. Your oven is equipped with AutoRecipe Conversion, so it is not necessary to convert thetemperature when using this mode. To use this modepress the Bake Multi Rack pad under Convection, enter a temperature, and then press Start. Alwayspreheat when using this mode.Convection RoastThe Convection Roast mode is intended for roastingwhole cuts of meat on a single rack. This mode mayuse heat from the upper and lower elements along withair movement to improve browning and reduce cookingtime. It is not necessary to convert temperature. Checkfood earlier than the recipe suggested time when usingthis mode, or use the probe (on some models). To usethis mode press the Roast pad under Convection, entera temperature, and then press Start. It is not necessaryto preheat when using this mode.ProbeInternal food temperature is frequently used as anindicator of doneness, especially for roasts and poultry. The Probe mode monitors the internal food temperatureand turns the oven off when the internal foodtemperature reaches the programmed temperature.Minimum temperatures for food safety can be found atwww.IsItDoneYet.gov. The temperature probe can onlybe used with Traditional Bake, Convection Bake, andConvection Roast modes. To use the probe with preheating:1. Press the desired cook mode (Traditional Bake,Convection Bake, or Convection Roast) pad andenter the desired cooking temperature.2. Insert the probe into the food (see Proper ProbePlacement Guidelines in this section).3. Once the oven is preheated, place the food in theoven and connect the probe to the probe outlet, making sure it is fully inserted. Use caution, the ovenwalls and probe outlet are hot.4. Program the probe temperature by pressing theProbe pad and entering the desired food temperature. The maximum internal food temperature that you canset is 200º F.Cooking ModesUSING THE OVEN: Cooking Modes
