It automatically turns on if itsenses too much heat.If you have turned the fan on, you may findthat you cannot turn it off. The fan willautomatically turn off when the internal partsare cool. It may stay on for 30 minutes or moreafter the cooktop and microwave controls areturned off.Vent Fan The vent fan removes steam and other vaporsfrom surface cooking.Press VENT once for high fan speed, twice formedium fan speed, a third time for low fanspeed or a fourth time to turn the fan off.Press the BOOST pad for extra fan speed.BOOSTVENTSurfaceLightPress LIGHT once for bright light, twice forthe night light or three times to turn the lightoff. LIGHTOff Pressing OFF while on the Home Screen willput the touchscreen display into standby mode,and the display will be dark. Press thetouchscreen or HOME, or open the door to“wake up” the display.Pressing OFF while cooking will cancel thecurrent program and returns the display to theHome Screen.NOTE: Pressing OFF does not disconnect theappliance from the power supply.OFFChildLockoutYou may lock the control panel to prevent themicrowave from being accidentally started orused by children.To lock or unlock the controls, press and holdOFF for about three seconds.
