32Removing slide-in racksYou can remove the slide-in racks for cleaning.Removing slide-in racks1 Place a dish cloth in the oven interior to protectthe enamel against scratches.2 Undo the knurled nuts (Figure A).3 Detach the slide-in racks (Fig. B).You can clean the slide-in racks in a dishwasher.Hooking in slide-in racks1 Fit slide-in racks the right way round: with thelonger side pointing up. The left and right-handracks are identical.2 Tighten the knurled nuts.PyrolysisDuring pyrolysis, the oven heats up to 905°F (485°C).Thus, remainders from roasting, grilling or baking areburnt up and all you have to do is wipe the ash out ofthe interior.Pyrolysis takes three hours. You can move thepyrolysis switch-off time (for example, if you would likeit to run at night).9 WARNINGDuring the elimination of soil during self-cleaning, small amounts of Carbon Monoxidecan be created and the fiberglass insulationcould give off very small amounts offormaldehyde during the first several cleaningcycles.
