7Water connectionsThe appliance requires a freshwater supply andwastewater drainage. The freshwater hose and theoutlet hose are permanently fitted to the appliance.! Warning!Disconnect the appliance from the electricity mainsbefore carrying out any work on the waterconnection.Do not immerse the AquaStop valve in water.The water connection must only be installed by aqualified plumber and in accordance with locallegislation and regulations governing water quality.Note!Do not kink, pinch, modify or cut through the outlethose or the freshwater hose with AquaStop valve.Otherwise, their strength and operational reliabilitywould no longer be guaranteed.Location of the water connectionsThe water connections can be on the right or lefthandside of the appliance.During installation of the water connection, thepermissible installation zones of the water lines must betaken into consideration.The following illustration shows the possible connectionzones with a hose length of 2.3 m.4001200800100Lefthandconnection zoneRighthandconnection zonemax. 1000Outlet connectionWith a hose length of up to 6 m, the outlet connectionmust be installed no higher than 1 m.With a hose length of over 6 m, the maximuminstallation height decreases by 0.1 with each additionalmetre.The outlet hose has a plugtype connection and can beconnected to a 3/4inch thread using the suppliedcoupling piece.A hose extension (2.3 m long) and a reducer forconnecting to a 1inchconnection can be ordered asaccessories. See "Tools and accessories".Note!The outlet connection on the appliance has nocheck valve. If connected incorrectly, there is a riskof flooding caused by returning waste water. Do notconnect the appliance to the drainage system inconjunction with other appliances, e.g. using aTpiece. The outlet connection of the appliancemust not be lower than the wastes of otherappliances.Always connect the appliance directly to thedrainage system and above the wastes of otherappliances, e.g. dishwashers.Freshwater connectionA coldwater connection is required for operation of theautomatic ice maker. The water pressure must bebetween 1 and 10 bar. A pressure reducing valve mustbe fitted if the water supply pressure is over 10 bar. Theautomatic ice maker is inoperable with a water pressureof below 1 bar.A separate stop valve must be installed in thefreshwater supply line.The stop valve must not be located behind theappliance. It is recommended that the stop valve befitted directly next to the appliance or in another easilyaccessible area.The freshwater hose has a 3/4inchconnection.A hose extension (2.3 m long) and a reducer forconnecting to a 1inchconnection can be ordered asaccessories. See "Tools and accessories".In order not to affect the taste of the water, only originalhose extensions are permitted to be used. These areneutral to taste and are food safe.
