6MOUNTING THE FRAMEAdjusting the Frame Support PostsLoosen the lock bolts of the frame supportposts and space them apart with the framesupport slides separated by the approxi-mate length of the racquet head. Although itis not required, it is good practice to centerthe support posts on the turntable. Lock oneof the posts in position by tightening the lockbolt and position the other post until theframe support slide is positioned near theinside surface of the racquet frame. Se-curely tighten the lock bolt of the secondsupport post.Caution: To avoid racquet damage, the center posts should not contact the racquet prior tolocking down the support posts.Tightening the Frame SupportsTighten the Frame Support Slides by turningthe adjustment knob clockwise until snugagainst the racquet frame and slight resis-tance is felt.Caution: Overtightening the Center Sup-ports will stretch the head of the racquet andcould cause racquet damage.POWER CONNECTION & CONTROLSSetting TensionThe stringing machine utilizes an adjust-ment knob along with a digital L.E.D. dis-play to indicate the tension setting. To setthe tension, rotate the adjustment knobclockwise to decrease the displayed ten-sion and counter-clockwise to increase thedisplayed tension, until the desired tensionis displayed. Aramid fiber and metallicstrings will generally string up tighter on theX-ES machine compared to synthetic ornatural gut strings. Therefore, when string-ing with Aramid (Kevlar, Technora) hybrid strings or metallic strings, we recommend settingtension 4-5 lbs. lower than you would normally use for synthetic or natural gut strings.
