These settings must also beconfigured when restoring factory settings(page 14). Each of these settings can bechanged later using either the Sonar Setupscreen (Color Scheme) or the Configurescreen (Language and Units).To initialize your Fishfinder 300Csettings:1. Language—select the on-screenlanguage.2. Units—select Statute (mh, ft, °F),Metric (kh, m, °C), or Nautical (kt, ft,°F).3. Color Scheme—select White or Blueas the background on sonar screens.4. Select OK.Alarms and MessagesThe Fishfinder 300C uses an on-screenmessage system to alert you to operatingcharacteristics. When a message appears,press SELECT to acknowledge the messageand return to the screen you were viewing.Battery alarm—battery voltage has fallenbelow the value entered in the battery-alarmscreen (Configure > alarms > Battery >On).Battery Voltage is Too High—The inputvoltage is too high. The Fishfinder 300C willshut off in 10 seconds. Decrease the inputvoltage to 33 volts or less.Boat is Not Moving Fast Enough toCalibrate—the boat is not moving fastenough for the speed wheel to provide avalid speed.Can’t Read Voltages That High, Limitedto Top of Range—the battery-alarm screenvoltage value is higher than the Fishfinder300C can read.
