True displays datawith reference to True North. Magnetic displays data withreference to Magnetic North using the magnetic variationvalue received in the RMC NMEA sentence (see page 17).Time TabThe Time tab enables you to display the current time and date,adjust the 12 or 24-hour time format, enter a time zone, and adjustfor daylight saving time to show correct local time. The timeappears only if you are receiving valid NMEA input from a GPSunit (see page 17) or if the Fishfinder is in Simulator mode.The following settings are available:• Time Format—lets you choose from 12-hour, 24-hour(military), or UTC (also called Greenwich Time) timeformat.• Time Zone—lets you choose your correct time zone to showcorrect local time.• Daylight Saving Time—lets you choose from Auto (notalways available), On, or Off to adjust for daylight savingtime.• Current Time and Current Date—displays the currenttime and date. These fields are blank if the Fishfinder is notreceiving a time from an attached GPS. It is not possible toedit these fields.
