If a monaural headset isused in a stereo jack, the audio panel's right channel output is shorted to ground by themono headset's plug (the audio panel automatically detects the short and turns off theright channel). In the case of passenger positions wired in parallel, any stereo listenerwill lose right channel audio when another passenger plugs in a mono headset.1. Set the intercom to the ALL mode [Pilot and Crew LED off.]2. Plug in headsets at each ICS position.3. Check Pilot and Copilot ICS positions for isolation and proper operation of volume controls.3.7.5 Aircraft Receivers Check1. Select the audio source corresponding to each installed avionics unit and check for audio over theheadsets.3.7.6 Music System Check1. Set GMA to ALL mode with Pilot and Crew button off.2. Connect a stereo audio source to MUSIC 1. Verify that stereo audio is heard over all headsetpositions when MUSIC 1 is selected as the music source and MUSIC LED is on. Verify that musicvolume adjustment is working properly for Pilot and Copilot/Passengers (if passenger headsets arewired).3. Select an audio source to COM 1 and verify that the sound is muted by active COM 1 audio whenRadio Mute Music is selected and by intercom audio when ICS Mute Music is selected.4. Connect a stereo music source to MUSIC 2. Verify that stereo audio is heard when MUSIC 2 isselected as the music source and MUSIC LED is on.3.7.7 Bluetooth Music System Check1. Pressing and Holding the TEL (pair) button, Pair and wirelessly connect a Bluetooth phone ortablet to the GMA. Refer to Pilots Guide for specific instructions.2. Play music on a device using the Bluetooth connection and adjust the device volume nearmaximum.3. With the MUSIC button on and the Bluetooth music selected, verify music is heard in theconnected headsets and that the music volume on the GMA adjusts the volume in the headset.NOTETo ensure the music audio is not being muted by ICS or by COM audio, deselect theRADIO MUTE and ICS MUTE buttons. Also, deselect the PILOT or CREW buttons sothat there is no ICS Isolation.3.7.8 USB Charge test1. Connect your device to the USB charge port and verify your device charges.
