GSD22 should be hooked tothe network port (GPSMAP 2108). When usingGarmin Radar and sonar modules, you will needa network expander GMS10.insTallinG The UniTInstall the Wiring HarnessThe unit comes with a wiring harness that connectsthe unit to power and the transducer with one easy-to-remove connection and provides interface capabilitiesfor connecting external devices.The color code in the diagram (see page 41 forGPSMAP2008/2108) indicates the appropriateharness connections. The replacement fuse is aAGC/ 3AG - 3 Amp fuse. If it is necessary to extendthe power wires, use 22 AWG wire. DO NOT cut thetransducer cable, because this voids your warranty.You can wire the unit directly to the battery. If yourboat has an electrical system, you might be able towire the unit directly to an unused holder on yourcurrent fuse block. If you are using the boat’s fuseblock, remove the in-line fuse holder supplied withthe unit.CAuTION: The maximum unit input voltage is35 Volts DC. Do not exceed this voltage, becausethis can damage the unit and void the warranty.
