Select Set Up Map, and pressENTER.Zooming In and Out of the MapThe map has 28 available map zoom ranges ranging from 20 ft to800 nm (20 ft to 800 mi or 5 m to 1200 km). The map zoom range iscontrolled by the IN and OUT keys, with the current range shown atthe bottom right of the data window.NOTE: The range value represents the distance from one end ofthe range bar ( ) to the other.To select a map zoom range (zoom in and out):Press the OUT key to zoom out; press the IN key to zoom in.Both the GPSMAP 378 and GPSMAP 478 have a built-in worldwideland database. The GPSMAP 378 contains detailed maps of the USinland lakes and the GPSMAP 478 contains built-in BlueChart g2charts.
