Alkaline or NiMH batteries(see page 47 for setting the battery type) may be used. Stored data willnot be lost when batteries are removed.T o install batteries:1. Remove the battery cover from the back of the unit. Turn theD-Ring 1/4 turn counter-clockwise and then pull.2. Insert the batteries, observing the proper polarity. A polaritydiagram can be found moulded into the battery compartment.3. Reinstall the battery cover by reinserting the locking pin inthe back of the unit.
