This setting, whenenabled, configures the GTN to provide a message when Crossfill is disabled.6.6.11 COM Configuration Page (GTN 635/650 Only)Access the COM Configuration page, as shown inFigure 6-22 by touching the ‘COM’ key from theGTN Setup page. These values are set at thefactory and rarely require calibration. To enable ordisable the COM radio, touch the key to togglebetween ‘Enabled’ and ‘Disabled’. The COMradio defaults to enabled state.COM RF SQUELCHThis setting configures the RF squelch thresholdfor the COM radio. The default setting is 0%. 0%is the most sensitive (i.e. the weakest signal level necessary to break squelch). Increasing the value willrequire a stronger signal to break squelch.MIC 1 GAINThis can be adjusted to -12, -6, 0, +6, +12 dB, +18 dB, +24 dB, or +30 dB. The default value is +12dB.SIDETONE VOLUMEThis parameter sets the audio sidetone output level. This value may be set to values between 0.0 dB and63.0 dB in 0.5 dB increments. The default is 91 (-17.5 dB).Selection DescriptionRight For aircraft in which the pilot sits in the starboard seat, this selection isappropriate.
