18ReferenceMap Page Options Using the Panning Arrow - OverviewThe Map Page pan function allows you to display anarrow used to point at and identify items on the map,and to move the map in order to view areas beyond thecurrent viewing area on the display.The map panning function is activated from theoptions menu on the Map Page. The CLICK STICKmoves the panning arrow (also referred to as the mappointer) in the desired direction on the map page. If thearrow moves to the edge of the map display, the map willalso move to reveal more map area. When this occurs,the unit will take some time to redraw the new area ofthe map.Whenever the panning arrow is placed on a mapitem, the name of that item will be highlighted. Thisfeatures applies to waypoints, cities, points of interest ...everything that is displayed.Pressing and releasing the CLICK STICK, marksthe arrow location or the map item information page. Anoption menu allows you to: add it to the Favorites list,add it to a route, project a waypoint from it, save it asa waypoint, or view the sun and moon phase from it.On-screen buttons at the bottom of the page allow you toGoto the map item, display it on the map or to select ‘OK’and return to the Map Page.When using the panning arrow, pressing the FINDbutton will display items with the panning arrow (mappointer) location used as a reference point for nearestitems instead of your current location.
