ecoRoute ™ HD Owner’s Manual Supplement Installing and Connecting theecoRoute HD Device‹ WARnInGWhen installing the device in a vehicle,install the device securely so it does notinterfere with the vehicle operating controls,such as the foot pedals, or the driver’s feet.Interference with the vehicle operatingcontrols or feet can result in an accident,which could result in injury or death.‹ CAUtIonDefer to your vehicle’s warranty provisionsand owner’s instructions for guidance onwhether any OBD II connector productmight void or alter your vehicle’s warranty.Garmin is not responsible for any costs orexpenses associated with vehicle repairs orvoided warranties.If you notice any change in engineperformance after connecting the device,disconnect the device immediately andcontact Garmin’s customer servicedepartment. Do not use the device if itaffects engine performance or acceleration inyour particular make and model of vehicle.Wirelessly Connecting with aGarmin GPS DeviceNOTICEIf you disconnect the ecoRoute HD deviceafter you have established a connection, youmust wirelessly re-connect the nüvi to theecoRoute HD device.Before wirelessly connecting to a GPSdevice, you must update the GPS devicesoftware and install the ecoRoute HD device.1. Start the vehicle, but remain parked(stationary).The green LED blinks three times everytwo seconds. The ecoRoute HD device iswaiting to connect with the GPS device.2. Turn on the GPS device.3. Bring the GPS device within 10 meters(33 feet) of the ecoRoute HD device.4. From the Tools menu, touch ecoRoute.5. If necessary, follow the on-screeninstructions to set up a vehicle profile.6. From the ecoRoute menu, touch HDConnection.7. Follow the on-screen instructions toconnect the ecoRoute HD device with theGPS device. |
