13 JOG WHEEL : In SEARCH MODE the JOG WHEEL can be used tosearch forward or bacwards in the music track, as well as for fineadjustments to a CUE point in PAUSE mode. In PITCH BEND mode theJOG WHEEL will function the same as the PITCH BEND allowing youto speed up (FORWARD) or slow down (REWIND) the music clock-wise bieng (FORWARD) and counter clockwise being (REWIND).JOG MODE BUTTON: When the JOG MODE BUTTON is illuminatedit indicates the the JOG WHEEL is in SEARCH MODE, and when notilluminated it indicates that the JOG WHEEL is in PITCH BENDMODE.DISPLAY: The DISPLAY shows the track number, pitch value, pitchbend, single, continue (for continuous play), play/pause modes, fastforward/reverse modes, loop mode, reloop mode, PGM, repeatmodes, the playback display bar, and three diffirent time displays.These times displays are TIME ELAPSED on the track, TIME REMAIN-ING on the disc and and TIME REMAINING on the track. Time ismeasured in minutes, seconds and frames.PGM: Allows you to create a set playlist. To program a set list intothe CDM-3600 memory, begin by stopping the unit from play andpressing PGM to begin the set list. Select a track by using the trackselection button to scan to the first track to be placed in the set list.When you have selected the proper track press PGM and theCDM-3600 will be ready to set your next selection. Repeat the pre-vious steps until you have completed your playlist, then press play tobegin the set list.REPEAT: Press the repeat button once to engage ( 1) or repeat theselected track. Press REPEAT again to engage ALL setting wich willrepeat all the tracks on the CD. Press REPEAT again to disengagethe repeat function.SINGLE: Pressing the SINGLE button engages SINGLE mode, in thismode the CDM-3600 will play one song and then stop. Pressing theSINGLE button again will then activate CONTINUOUS mode causingthe unit to play continuously (after the last track, the unit will returnto the first track of the disc and continue to play).TIME: The TIME BUTTON switches the time display between threeavailable sources, these three are TIME ELAPSED on the track, TIMEREMAINING on the disc and and TIME REMAINING on the track.TIME ELAPSED indicates how much time has currently gone by sincethe play button was pressed, TIME REMAING ON DISC will countdown the time remaining on the entire disc and TIME REMAININGON TRACK counts down the time that is left before the end of thetrack.PITCH: Pushing the PITCH button (the button will light up blue) acti-vates the PITCH CONTROL SLIDE. The pitch or speed of the CD willchange plus or minus 12% depending on the position of the PITCHCONTROL SLIDER. Push the PITCH button again to deactivate thismode.PITCH CONTROL SLIDE: Moving the PITCH CONTROL SLIDEup or down will lower or raise the pitch percentage + or - 12%.PITCH BEND: Pushing the PITCH BEND BUTTONS will automaticallyraise the pitch up to +16% or lower the pitch down to -16% from theexisting pitch setting. Releasing the buttons will return the pitchto the original pitch setting. You can use this function to match thebeat when mixing from one song to another.17181920CDM-3600PLAYER FUNCTIONS: (CONTINUED) LOOP SECTION: A LOOP repeats the section between the entry point(IN) and the exit point (OUT). To set a loop while the unit is playing,start by pressing the IN BUTTON (it will light up) and when you reachthe desired end loop point press the OUT BUTTON (it will also lightup). The loop will continue playing until you press the OUT BUTTONagain allowing the music to continue from that point on, to re-engagethe loop you must press the RELOOP BUTTON. When you have re-leased your loop the OUT BUTTON will turn OFF and the IN BUT-TON will remain lit to indicate that your loop is stored in theCDM-3600 memory. Pressing the IN BUTTON again while the unit isplaying will erase the previously saved loop while saving your newloop entry point. Press OUT to exit the loop and save a new completeloop.Press RELOOP to return to the beginning of the previously saved loopfrom normal play. Press RELOOP repeatedly to cause the loop tostutter.NOTE: THE FIRST LOOP WILL HAVE A PAUSE AT THE EXIT POINT,WHILE ALL OTHERS WILL BE SEAMLESS.PLAY/PAUSE: Each press of the PLAY/PAUSE BUTTONcauses the operation to change from PLAY to PAUSE or from PAUSEback to PLAY. The PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON remains lit when in PLAYmode, while it blinks in PAUSE mode.CUE: While the unit is playing and after the cue point has beenprogrammed, pressing CUE will cause the CD player to enter thePAUSE mode (PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON blinks) at the programmed cuepoint (the CUE LED is lit). Holding down the CUE buttonchanges the function to preview , and allows you to stutter start orplay from the programmed CUE POINT Releasing the CUE buttonwill return the CD to the preset CUE point.STOP BUTTON: When pressed the STOP BUTTON stops the play-back of the CD player.TRACK SELECTION: The TRACK SELECTION buttons let you select thetrack to play. +10 allows you to scan through the track selection in in-crements of 10. TRACK SKIP allows you to scan through each trackone at a time.NOTE : ONCE YOU HAVE SKIPPED TO ANOTHER TRACK, YOU MAY NOT GO BACKTO YOUR PROGRAMMED CUE POINT. YOU MUST BEGIN YOUR CUE SELECTIONOVER AGAIN, THE CUE WILL BE PRESET TO THE BEGINNING OF THE NEWLEY SE-LECTED TRACK.DIRECT ACCESS BUTTONS: The direct access buttons allow you toinput a track number directly instead of having to skip through thetracks individualy. Just press the number or combination of numbersup to 99 and the player will jump to that track instantly.MIXER SECTION:1415162122232425262728CHANNEL INPUT SELECTOR: The CHANNEL INPUT SELECTOR switchesallow you to choose which input will be controlled by that channels correspon-ding volume FADER. For example CHANNEL (1) INPUT SELECTOR allowsyou to choose between line (1) (That sides internal CD player), line (2) whichis line input RCA (1) and or PHONO (1) (if the CONVERTIBLE LINE SWITCH isswitched to PHONO) see above.
