When you movethe selected KILL SWITCH to the center position the killfunction is not active, and the frequency will not be killed.When you move the selected KILL SWITCH to the bottomFLASH position and hold it there, the frequency will bekilled. Releasing the selected KILL SWITCH from the bot-tom position will bring it back to the center position and thefrequency will no longer be killed.5. CROSSFADER SECTION: The CROSSFADER (20)allows the mixing of one source into another. The left sideof the CROSSFADER (20) is CH 1 (19) while the rightbelongs to CH 2 (31). You may also reverse this default byswitching the HAMSTER/REVERSE (11) switch. TheCROSSFADER (20) in your unit is removable and if theneed arises can be easily replaced. Your Gemini mixercomes with an RG-45 (RAILGLIDE™) DUAL-RAILCROSSFADER. RAIL GLIDE™ crossfaders have internaldual stainless steel rails that allow the slider to ride smooth-ly and accurately from end to end. Also available is our isthe RG-45 PRO (RAIL GLIDE™) crossfader with a specialcurve designed for scratch mixing. Just purchase one fromyour GEMINI dealer and follow the instructions:Note: Do not apply pressure while using the Crossfader. Lightly glidethe Crossfader back and forth. Pressing down on the controls canbend contacts and cause a loss of sound.6. SLOPE CONTROL: The CROSSFADER SLOPESWITCH (12) allows you to adjust the kind of curve thecrossfader has. Flip the crossfader slope switch up to makethe slope steep and cutting (perfect for scratching). flip thecrossfader slope switch to make the slope gradual and gen-tle.7. HAMSTER CONTROL: The CROSSFADER REVERSESWITCH (11) allows you to reverse the crossfader so thatCHANNEL 2 (31) is controlled by the left side of the cross-fader and CHANNEL 1 (19) is controlled by the right side ofthe crossfader.NOTE: When the CROSSFADER REVERSE SWITCH (11) is activated(moved to the right), only the crossfader reverses. The ChannelSlides, Gain, Kill Switches and tonal controls do not reverse.8. CUE: Cue facilitates the seamless blending of onerecorded track into another. Connecting a set of head-phones to the HEADPHONES (8) jack allows you to moni-tor either CHANNEL 1 or CHANNEL 2. Select CHANNEL1 (19) by moving CUE FADER (18), located on the frontpanel, to CUE 1 on the left. Listen to CHANNEL 2 by mov-ing CUE FADER (18) to CUE 2 on the right. To mix bothChannels bring CUE (18) to the middle so that both tracksmay be heard. Use CUE VOLUME (9) to adjust the head-phone volume without affecting the speaker-driven mix.9. MIC SECTION: Connecting a microphone to the 1/4"MIC JACK (10) allows voice amplification through themixer to the stereo through the MASTER RCA OUTPUTS(3). This is controlled by the MIC VOLUME (16), HIGH (15),LOW (14) rotary controls.10. OUTPUT CONTROL SECTION: The level of the MAS-TER OUTPUT (3) is controlled by the MASTER VOLUME(13) rotary control.11. VU METER: The VU METER (25) LEDs indicates theMASTER RCA OUTPUT (3) in stereo. VU METER (25)LEDs reflect the VOLUME (13), GAIN (24,32), HIGH(23,33), MID (22,34) and LOW (21,35) rotary control adjust-ments for each channel.
