Follow these instructions to erase remote codes forALL other Genie® openers.3 LOST OR STOLEN REMOTEALL Remote Codes will be erased from Opener(powerhead) memory.These instruNOTE: For openersmanufactured between1995-1997,use the two upperbuttons on the remotections are for openers with the typekeypad shown below.1. Press PROGRAMSETand hold untilboth lights come ONblue. Release button.2. Lights go out andRound BLUE lightcomes ON.3. Press PROGRAMSET again and see longpurple LED fl ashing.4. Press both andsimultaneously on thepowerhead and hold for5 seconds.Test remote operation.Remote should not activatedoor opener.5. Reprogram the Opener with the remaining Remote(s)(Repeat Section 2 for each remote).PROGRAMSET— +PROGRAMSET—+5 SECSPROGRAMSET—+5 SECSPROGRAMSET—+PROGRAMSET—PRESS and HOLD until youSEE BOTH Blue LEDs come ONSEE long Purple LEDcome steady ONRELEASESEE roundBlue LEDcome ON12345Programming is complete. This remote button cannow be used to operate door opener.Repeat as necessary for other remotes or buttons onthe same remote.PRESS remote and RELEASE(the button you want to program.)PRESS and RELEASESEE long Purple LEDflashingSEE both LEDs flash Blue and go OFFPRESS and RELEASE remote button again6 PRESS and RELEASE remote button a third time1 PROGRAM THE OPENER3 Button RemoteOPERATING INSTRUCTIONSPROGRAMSETPROGRAMSET1. Press and HOLD the Learn Code button on thepowerhead for 10 seconds or until Radio Signal LEDindicator goes out.2. Reprogram the Opener with the remaining Remotesfollowing the programming instructions for thatpowerhead.3. Reprogram the Opener with a remote or any otheraccess device using the instructions accompanyingthose devices.4 BATTERY REPLACEMENTReplace remote battery with a CR 2032 coin cell battery.1. Open the remote case using a washer or coin that fi tsinto the slot at the top of the remote.2. Replace battery. Match batterypolarity with symbolsinside battery housing.3. Align components andWARNINGMoving Door can cause serious injuryor death.• Wall Console must be mounted in sightof door, at least 5 feet above floor andclear of moving door parts.• Keep people clear of opening while door is moving.• Do NOT allow children to play with the Remote ordoor opener.If safety reverse does not work properly:• Close door then disconnect opener using themanual release handle.• Do NOT use Remote or door opener.• Refer to Door and Door Opener Owner’s Manualsbefore attempting any repairs.2 REMOTE OPERATION• Point Remote at the garage door and press thebutton. Door will move.• Press the Remote Button again and the door willstop.• Press the Remote Button again and the door willmove the opposite way.
