If PFPE is required byjob site or employer rules, the following shall apply:All PFPE must comply with applicablegovernmental regulations and must be inspectedand used in accordance with the manufacturer’sinstructions.Requirements for Exiting an Elevated WorkPlatformOperators must use personal fall protectionequipment when exiting and entering anelevated platform through the front gate. Whenexiting or entering an elevated platform, theplatform must be positioned as close as possibleto the surface of the exit or entry point, but notmore than 12 inches / 30 cm away from thesurface of the exit or entry point.Operators are required to wear approved PFPEat all times when exiting and entering an elevatedplatform through the front gate, and must use alanyard designed to allow 100% tie-off whenexiting and entering an elevated platform throughthe front gate.Do not exit or enter an elevated platform throughthe rear gate.Exiting an Elevated Platform Through theFront Gate1 Attach primary lanyard to a platform anchorpoint.2 Attach secondary lanyard to an approvedadjacent anchor point.3 Detach the primary lanyard from the platformanchor point.The primary lanyard can not remain attached tothe platform anchor point after attaching thesecondary lanyard to the adjacent anchor point.Do not operate the machine while the secondarylanyard is attached to the adjacent anchor point.Entering an Elevated Platform Through theFront Gate1 Attach primary lanyard to a platform anchorpoint.2 Detach secondary lanyard from the adjacentanchor point.3 Detach the primary lanyard from the platformanchor point.
