Drivers are solelyresponsible for making sure machines areproperly secured and the correct trailer isselected pursuant to US Department ofTransportation regulations, other localizedregulations, and their company policy.5 Genie customers needing to containerize anylift or Genie product should source a qualifiedfreight forwarder with expertise in preparing,loading and securing construction and liftingequipment for international shipment.5 Only qualified operators should move themachine on or off the truck.5 The transport vehicle must be parked on a levelsurface.5 The transport vehicle must be secured toprevent rolling while the machine is beingloaded.5 Before loading for transport, make sure thedeck, ramps and machine tires are free of mud,snow and ice. Failure to do so could cause themachine to slide.5 Be sure the vehicle capacity, loading surfacesand chains or straps are sufficient to withstandthe machine weight.
