Drivers are solelyresponsible for making sure machines areproperly secured and the correct trailer isselected pursuant to US Department ofTransportation regulations, other localizedregulations, and their company policy. The transport vehicle must be parked on alevel surface. The transport vehicle must be secured toprevent rolling while the machine is beingloaded. Be sure the vehicle capacity, loading surfacesand chains or straps are sufficient to withstandthe machine weight. Genie lifts are very heavyrelative to their size. See the serial label for themachine weight.Securing to Truck or Trailer forTransitFully lower and retract the boom. Make sure theboom and mid-pivot rest securely in the mastcradles.Securely latch the boom hold-down latches.Raise all four outriggers to the stowed position.Always chock the machine wheels in preparationfor transport.Turn the key switch to the off position and removethe key before transporting.Inspect the entire machine for loose or unsecureditems.Securing the ChassisPlace a block under the tongue.Secure a strap over the tongue of the machine.Place a block underneath the axle behind thewheels.Use the four tie-down points on the chassis foranchoring down to the transport surface.Use chains or straps of ample load capacity.Use a minimum of 4 chains to secure the chassis.Adjust the rigging to prevent damage to the chains.
