The use of a goodquality fuel will give the following result: longengine life and acceptable exhaust emissionslevels.Minimum diesel fuel requirements for each engineare listed below.Perkins 1104D-44T EngineFuel Type Low Sulfur Diesel (LSD)Perkins 854F-34T EngineFuel Type Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD)Deutz TD2011 L04i EngineFuel Type Low Sulfur Diesel (LSD)Deutz TD2.9L EngineFuel Type Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD)Check the Hydraulic Oil LevelMaintaining the hydraulic oil at the proper level isessential to machine operation. Improper hydraulicoil levels can damage hydraulic components. Dailychecks allow the inspector to identify changes in oillevel that might indicate the presence of hydraulicsystem problems.1 Be sure that the boom is in the stowed positionand the engine is off.2 Visually inspect the sight gauge located on theside of the hydraulic oil tank.Result: The hydraulic oil level should bebetween the two marks on the decal next to thesight gauge.3 Add oil as needed.
