Troubleshooting 8-7Keyboard and Touchpad ProblemsThe keyboard does not respond. Try connecting an external keyboard. If it works, contact an authorizeddealer, as the internal keyboard cable might be loose.Water or liquid is spilt into the keyboard. Immediately turn off the computer and unplug the AC adapter. Thenturn the keyboard upside down to drain the liquid out of the keyboard.Make sure to clean up any part of the spill you can get to. Though thekeyboard of your computer is spill-proof, liquid will remain in thekeyboard enclosure if you don’t remove it.The numeric keypad is disabled. Make sure that the Num Lock is switched on. (Check if the Num LockIndicator glows or not.)The touchpad does not work, or the pointer is difficult to controlwith the touchpad. Make sure that the touchpad is clean.LAN ProblemsI cannot access the network. Make sure that the LAN cable is properly connected to the RJ-45connector and the network hub. Make sure that the network configuration is appropriate. Make sure that the user name or password is correct.PC Card ProblemsThe PC card does not work. Make sure that the PC card is correctly seated.
