Connect the AC adapter.2. Turn on the computer. During system startupwhen the Getac logo screen appears, press Ctrl+ Alt + F2 keys for four seconds.3. In the screen that appears, select Recovery tostart the recovery process.4. The progress bar shows the percentagecompleted. When it reaches 100%, the systemturns off.5. Turn on the computer. The Windows setupwizard starts. Follow the onscreen prompts tocontinue.6. When the system restarts, the installer screenappears. The installer will perform systemhardware detection and driver installation.7. When completed, the system restarts anddisplays Windows desktop.Taking Care of the ComputerLocation Guidelines For optimal performance, use the com-puter where the recommended tempe-rature is between 0 C (32 F) and 35 C(95 F). Select models support -20 C (-4F) low temperature. Avoid placing the computer in a location subjectto high humidity, extreme tempe-ratures, mechanical vibration, direct sun-light, or heavy dust. Using in extremeenvironments for long periods can result inproduct deterioration and a shortened productlife. Operating in an environment with metallic dustis not allowed. Place the computer on a flat and steadysurface. Do not stand the computer on its sideor store it in an upside-down position. A strongimpact by dropping or hitting may damage thecomputer. Do not cover or block any ventilation openingson the computer. For example, do not placethe computer on a bed, sofa, rug, or othersimilar surface. Otherwise, overheating mayoccur that results in damage to the computer. As the computer can become very hot duringoperation, keep it away from objects that arevulnerable to heat. Keep the computer at least 13 cm (5 inches)away from electrical appliances that cangenerate a strong magnetic field such as a TV,refrigerator, motor, or a large audio speaker. Avoid moving the computer abruptly from a coldto a warm place. A temperature difference ofmore than 10 C (18 F) may causecondensation inside the unit, which maydamage the storage media.General Guidelines Do not expose your skin to the computer whenoperating it in a very hot or cold environment. Do not place heavy objects on top of thecomputer as this may damage the display. Do not move the computer simply by graspingthe display screen. The screen surface is easily scratched. Avoidtouching it with a sharp object such as a penor pencil. LCD image sticking occurs when a fixed patternis displayed on the screen for a prolongedperiod of time. You can avoid the problem bylimiting the amount of static content on thedisplay. It is recom-mended that you use a screen saver or turnoff the display when it is not in use.
