Getac SecretConfidential DocumentQuick Start Guide Congratulations and thank you for purchasing the computer.This guide provides step-by-step instructions for a quick setup of your computer.1 Install the battery pack 2 Connect AC power 3 Power up 4 Find more informationInstall the battery pack if it has not beeninstalled in your computer. Locate the battery compartment on the rightside of the computer. Open the compartmentcover by pressing on both sides of the releaselatch using your thumb and index fingers. Slide the battery pack all the way into theslot. Make sure to observe the correctorientation (the ribbon strip must faceoutward for future battery back removal). Close the compartment cover to secure thebattery pack.The first time you use your computer, use theAC adapter. This will allow the battery pack tofully charge. Plug the DC cord of the AC adapter to thepower connector on the computer. Plug the female end of the AC power cord tothe AC adapter and the male end to anelectrical outlet.The Battery Charge Indicator（ ）on thecomputer glows yellow to indicate thatcharging is in progress. Open the top cover by pulling up on latch Aand releasing latch B (n) and lifting up thecover (o). You can tilt the cover forward orbackward for optimal viewing clarity. Press the power button ( ) to power up. Theoperating system such as Windows shouldstart.For complete information, please refer to theUser’s Manual (in PDF format) supplied on thedriver disc. Connect a DVD drive (option) to yourcomputer. Press the eject button of the DVDdrive. Fit the driver disc in the tray with itslabel facing up. Then, press the eject buttonor manually slide the tray back into place. When the main screen appears, click AdobeReader to install the software for opening thePDF manual file.
