Enter power saving mode when using battery power. Do not disable automatic power management features. Decrease the LCD brightness to the lowest comfortable level. Shorten the length of time before Windows turn off the display. Many USB devices use power just by being connected. If you use a USBmouse, you can save power by disconnecting the mouse and using thetouchpad. If you use a USB flash drive, unplug it when you are not usingit. Remove the card (such as PC card, ExpressCard, and Smart Card) if notusing it. Turn off the wireless radio if you are not using the wireless module (suchas WLAN, Bluetooth, or WWAN). Turn off the computer when you are not using it.
