33Figure 45 Removing an interface cardInstalling/removing a CX4/SFP+ cableThis section assumes that you have installed a CX4/SFP+ interface card. The installation and removal procedures for the CX4 cable and the SFP+ cable are the same. This sectionuses the SFP+ cable as an example. The CX4 and SFP+ cables for this switch series are hot swappable.Installing a CX4/SFP+ cableCAUTION:The bend radius for a cable must be at least eight times the cable diameter. To connect a CX4 or SFP+ cable to a port on a CX4/SFP+ interface card:1. Wear an ESD-preventive wrist strap and make sure it makes good skin contact and is wellgrounded. Then unpack the dedicated SFP+ cable.2. Hold the connector at one end of the cable, with the pull latch on top.3. Orient the connector with the port and insert it into the port.Removing a CX4/SFP+ cableTo remove a CX4 or SFP+ cable from a port on a CX4/SFP+ interface card:1.
