13First Operation2 First Operation2.1 InstructionInstruction is required before first oper-ation. First instruction into handling ofthe machine must be held by a qualifiedperson sent by your local Hako contractdealer. Your Hako dealer will be in-formed by the manufacturer upon deliv-ery of the machine and will contact youto make a date for instruction.2.2 Initial charging procedureBefore first operation of themachine, fully charge the bat-tery with an initial charging pro-cedure and comply with the op-erating instructions of thecharger as well as with those ofthe battery manufacturer.Hako cannot be held liable fordamages resulting from an in-sufficient initial charge.2.3 Before Putting into OperationComplete the following inspections be-fore taking the machine into operation:1. Check the area around the machinefor signs of leakage. Hoses, linesand tanks must be free from anyleakage or damage.2. Install brushes and squeegee, seemaintenance chapter.3. Install batteries and connect batteryplug, see maintenance chapter.4. Check battery charge and proceedto re-charging of batteries if required.Generally proceed to initial chargingbefore first operation of the machine.5. Empty recovery tank and clean it ifrequired, see maintenance chapter.6. Refill solution tank and add cleaningagent according to the manufactur-er's recommendations.Use only cleaning agents suit-able for automatic machines(low-foaming) and comply withthe instructions for use, dispos-al and with the warning infor-mation specified by the clean-ing agent's manufacturer.
