5 Threading the cord Feed the cord and fixture ground wire intothe center hole of the screw collar loop(HH), through the nipple (EE), and then outof the outlet box. Continue feeding the cord and fixtureground wire until there is no slackremaining. Cut off any excess cord and fixture groundwire, leaving 6 in. extending from the outletbox. Split and separate the fixture cord and stripoff 3/8 in. of insulation from each wire.6 Connecting the wires Loop the fixture ground wire around theground screw located on the mountingbracket (JJ) and leave 4 in. of wireextending from the ground screw. Tighten the ground screw against themounting bracket (JJ). Connect the black supply wire to thesmooth fixture wire using a wire nut (BB). Connect the white supply wire to the ribbedfixture wire using a wire nut (BB). Connect the fixture ground wire and thesupply ground wire together using a wirenut (BB). Wrap all wire connections with electricaltape for a more secure connection.
