Operation and Performance*Heating Performance*Microcomputer-controlled Automatic DefrostingHeat-pump air conditioners heat your entire roomby recirculating air throughout the room, with theresult that some time may be required after firststarting the air conditioner until the room is heated.This air conditioner operates on the heat-pumpprinciple, absorbing heat from outdoor air andtransferring that heat indoors. As a result, theoperating performance is reduced as outdoor airtemperature drops. If you feel that insufficientheating perfomance is being produced, werecommend you use this air conditioner inconjunction with another kind of heatingappliance.Instructions relating to heating (*) are applicableonly to "HEAT & COOL TYPE".When using the Heating mode under conditions oflow outdoor air temperature high humidity, frostmay form on the outdoor unit, resulting in reducedoperating performance.In order to prevent this kind of reducedperformance, this unit is equipped with aMicrocomputer-controlled Automatic Defrostingfunction.
