In Canada,wiring must conform with current local codes and thecurrent Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).Refer to the furnace or air handler installation instructionsfor additional wiring application diagrams and refer to unitnameplate for minimum circuit ampacity and maximumovercurrent protection size.24VAC TransformerUse the transformer provided with the furnace or air handlerfor low-voltage control power (24VAC - 40 VA minimum).Electric Shock Hazard. Can cause injury ordeath. Unit must be properly grounded inaccordance with national and local codes.Line voltage is present at all components whenunit is not in operation on units with single-pole contactors. Disconnect all remote electricpower supplies before opening access panel.Unit may have multiple power supplies.WARNINGFire Hazard. Use of aluminum wire with this productmay result in a fire, causing property damage, severeinjury or death. Use copper wire only with this product.WARNINGFailure to use properly sized wiring and circuit breakermay result in property damage. Precautions will help toavoid control exposure to electrostatic discharge byputting the unit, the control and the technician at thesame electrostatic potential. Touch hand and all toolson an unpainted unit surface before performing anyservice procedure to neutralize electrostatic charge.WARNINGRefer to the unit nameplate for minimum circuit ampacity,and maximum fuse or circuit breaker (HACR per NEC).Install power wiring and properly sized disconnect switch.NOTE - Units are approved for use only with copperconductors.
